Technologies like CAD, CAE, RP, CIM, PLM, etc have been the driving factors for evolution of product life cycle by revolutionising conceptualisation, design, detailing, analysis and manufacturing procedures. A synergic integration of these technologies is essential for faster and profitable product development. Several organizations in India conduct seminars, workshops, conferences and exhibitions with focus on a few specific segments of product development. However, an acute need has always been felt for a common platform that could bring together scientists, engineers, designers, entrepreneurs, etc involved in different domains ranging from design to manufacture. In 2003, a group of Scientists, Industrialist, Academicians and Professionals organized themselves to formulate a consortium of professional bodies to organize the event ‘TEAM TECH 2004’ which successfully fulfilled the need of providing a common platform for interaction among interrelated product development groups.

The TEAM TECH 2004 International Conference provided the platform for the latest technologies and solutions for the industries in Rapid Prototyping, Micro & Nano Technologies, Industrial Design, Product Engineering, Advanced Manufacturing & Tooling Technologies, Automation for Automotive Industries, Advanced Finite Element Techniques, Design of Materials, etc. Around thousand delegates from Automotive, Aeronautical, Defence, Space Research and Engineering enterprises of Germany, Malaysia, Singapore, Belgium, Finland, UK, USA, China, Japan, Israel, Thailand and India participated in the event. There was a good feedback and support from the Industries, R&D establishments and academic organisations for conducting a similar type of conference annually with new updates and Sponsors/ Exhibitors giving encouragement to continue the TEAM TECH event. Thus TEAM TECH 2004 was followed by TEAM TECH 2006, TEAM TECH 2007 and TEAM TECH 2008. And now TEAM TECH 2009 is scheduled during 19 -21 November 2009 at Bangalore.

The objectives of the event are :

Provide a unified platform of interaction for practitioners involved in design, analysis and manufacturing domains.
Disseminate application knowledge by inviting industry leaders for case study presentations from diverse industrial sectors
Introduce the industries to latest trends in computer aided technologies & facilitate their decision making
Showcase the expertise of Indian/ International engineering service and consultancy providers.
